CALVARY CHAPEL BIBLE FELLOWSHIP AT THE PINNACLES

a ministry of Calvary Chapel St. George

Who Are We?

Calvary Chapel Fellowship at the Pinnacles (CCFP) began meeting in May, 2019. We are a small fellowship that meets each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Promised Land Resort (formerly Camelot Resort) in Fruitland, Utah. We are a ministry of Calvary Chapel St. George, Utah. (www.calvarysg.com)

Our Desire is To

Engage our Culture & Community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Establish Biblical Foundations for Life.

Equip Believers to Serve.

Empower Disciples to Make More Disciples.

Our goal is to glorify God!

Each Sunday Bible Study & Fellowship Includes

Worship – singing hymns and contemporary praise and worship songs.

Bible Study – teaching the Bible in a conversational way to help everyone understand and apply it to our lives.

Fellowship – Growing in our relationships with each other at all levels – Children, Teens, Young Adults, Singles, Young Married Couples, Families and Seniors.

Everyone is Welcome!

Those who have it together, those who don’t.

Single, married and divorced.

People living an abundant life in Jesus, those who are battling addiction.

People with no religion, those who have been hurt, disillusioned or lied to by religion, those who are deeply religious.

People who are doing well, and those who are morally messed up.

Those who are looking for God, those who don’t believe in His existence.

Those who are living a “normal life” and those who are condemned for not living a “normal life.”

Literally, everyone is welcome!

What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. We believe the Bible is the final authority in every area of life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21, John 10:35)

We believe there is one God who eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 7:14. Matthew 1:23, John 1:1 & 14, John 10:30, Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:35, Acts 5:3-4, Revelation 2:1 & 7)

We believe that God became a human being in the person of Jesus Christ. That He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death for all mankind, was raised from the dead the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God until His return.. (John 1:1, 14, Matthew 1:18-25, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Hebrews 10:12-13)

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son to be the Helper & Comforter. (John 14:16-17, John 16:7-11)

We believe the Holy Spirit makes us a new person and indwells and seals everyone when they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He empowers us to live as witnesses for Christ. We believe that all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to His church today. (Titus 3:5-6, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 1:13-14, Acts 1:8, Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12-14, 1 Peter 4:10-11)

We believe all people are sin and are in need of a Savior, and that Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior of the world. That salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Him. We believe that everyone who believes in Jesus and calls on the name of the Lord become children of God and shall be saved eternally. (Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:18-19, Matthew 1:21, 1 John 4:14, John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12-13, John 3:16, Romans 10:9)

We believe there is one church, the body of Christ, consisting of men and women from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. We believe that as the church, we are called to be separate from the sin of the world, but also a light to the world. (Ephesians 4:4, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Revelation 5:9, Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 5:16)

Be sure to watch services streamed on Facebook and YouTube, streamed weekly at the same times!

Meet the Pastor

Rick Nerud

I was raised in a small town in Minnesota much like the small towns in Duchesne County. I received a degree from Mankato State University which was a small state university much like U.S.U. or U.V.U.. I was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, eventually being discharged a little over eight years later at the rank of Major. My family and I moved to St. George, Utah in 1993 working for Walmart when we built the distribution center in Hurricane alongside of I-15.

I was ordained as a Calvary Chapel Pastor in July of 1996, and became the Pastor of Calvary Chapel St. George in 1997. I was blessed to serve as the senior pastor until May, 2019, when I transitioned the church to my great friend Jerry Camacho due to some personal health issues. At that time I stepped into an Assistant Pastor role at CCSG with the main responsibility as the Director of the Promised Land Resort (formerly Camelot Resort) in Fruitland, which the church purchased and now operates to host family reunions, corporate retreats and church camps and retreats.

I am also the pastor of Calvary Chapel Fellowship at the Pinnacles that meets at the Promised Land Resort. I want to welcome everyone to come and grow in the love of the Lord with us through Bible study, fellowship, worship, prayer and serving our community.

I have been blessed to be married to my wife Jill for 36 years! We have two adult children, and eight grandchildren! I love to spend time with my family in God’s creation, especially fishing!

My other passions are sharing the Word of God and encouraging young people, adults, families to live out the gospel in real tangible ways that make a difference in our community and to the ends of the earth.
